The 1970s Living Room: Orchestral Pop & a Little Jazz
Who is this collection for?
Best for an easy-listening/orchestral-pop and vocal-pop collector — Shirley Bassey fans especially — rather than a jazz-focused buyer, though the jazz pieces are solid records worth having.
Collection Overview
Mostly 1970s orchestral pop, easy listening, and vocal pop (four Shirley Bassey LPs, two Henry Mancini titles, Ray Conniff, Percy Faith, Herb Alpert), with a handful of genuine jazz mixed in (two Modern Jazz Quartet LPs, Gene Ammons, and the all-star fusion session Echoes of an Era).
