SIIM BIOGRAPHY
M. Simone “SiiM” Clarke, B.Arch, is a multidisciplinary creative professional, author, and thought leader with over 25 years of experience shaping spaces, stories, and cultural experiences across architecture, fashion, film, and event design. As the founder and CEO of THE HIGHER INTELLIGENCE AGENCY LLC (HIA), a US based Jamaican creative company with global aspirations, SiiM brings together a rebellious Jamaican spirit and cosmopolitan elegance to create timeless expressions in fashion, entertainment, food, and soon, education.

A graduate of the University of Toronto (Bachelor of Architecture, Professional, 1995), SiiM studied abroad in Paris, Barcelona, and Andalucía, where early exposure to global traditions of urban design and couture influenced both architectural and sartorial approaches. This foundation continues to inform a career that fuses technical precision with cultural storytelling across multiple industries.

In fashion, SiiM has been the creative force behind SIIM (www.siim.world), a clothing line originally launched in 2001 and relaunched in 2024 that combines slow streetwear, timeless silhouettes, sustainable production and bold Jamaican identity. Her work has been featured in Caribbean Fashion Week and bespoke couture showcases that redefined the catwalk as immersive environments. Fashion for SiiM is not separate from architecture or event design, but an extension of the same principles: clothing as structure, movement materialized as form, and style as a cultural portal.

Her broader design portfolio spans projects for the Government of Jamaica and iconic institutions like the Bob Marley Museum & Tuff Gong International and National Commercial Bank (Jamaica), as well as collaborations with global brands such as BMW, Mercedes Benz, Red Bull, Digicel and Appleton Rum.

In film and entertainment, SiiM has served as Art Director (Jamaica) on international productions, including No Time to Die (Universal Pictures), Bob Marley: One Love (Paramount), Black Cake (Hulu), and Sprinter (Overbrook Entertainment). She also served as designer for Jamaica House at the London 2012 Olympic Village, a commission requiring the communication of national identity at international scale under conditions of live, real-time public engagement. These credits highlight her ability to implement immersive environments that resonate globally while remaining rooted in Jamaican authenticity.

As an author, SiiM published Gallivant — a memoir and cultural meditation that chronicles a solo journey through Asia in the late 1990s, and asks a question with permanent relevance: what happens when you move through unfamiliar environments with your attention fully engaged? How perception shifts, identity becomes negotiable, and the designed quality of ordinary experience becomes suddenly, permanently visible. Gallivant is also the intellectual origin story of Event Architecture — the discipline SiiM founded that bridges spatial design, cultural strategy and narrative into a unified framework for the intentional design of human experience, across physical environments, organisational cultures, brand systems and individual lives.

With a rare blend of architectural training, fashion design fluency and multidisciplinary leadership, SiiM continues to redefine how we design, narrate and experience the spaces where life unfolds.
